Sandra Martin

I was brought up and went to school in South Wales and was a dressmaker for ten years before selling my business and moving to Manchester to study ceramics. After leaving college I shifted operations to a shared studio at Hallem Mill. I now have my studio at home. Until last year my work had been mainly figurative and I was using white stoneware clays such as Steve Harrison body. But with my love of the outdoors and gardening my work is now changing and I'm making sculptural pieces for the garden using such clays as Jim Robison special clay.
